So, it appears that somebody is using a codegoat e-mail address (spoofing a codegoat address) to send out lots of spam... I am getting a lot of replies (1700) from servers that are rejecting the e-mails for whatever reason.

If you got one of these e-mails and have come to this domain looking for the source, I am sorry, we did not send those e-mails.

I'm going to look into changing some stuff in our e-mail settings when I get home tonight.

The e-mail address they are using is: jowcodegoatnos@codegoat.com

Since Gregor debuted GregorCam.com I have been again motivated to post on our site. I have a hope that someone out there is still listening. There has been a lot of goings on since our last post so I really haven't had a single subject and I didn't feel like writing a book. That's my excuse in the lackage of posts. So, I figured I would tackle a quick point form update on what's been going on with us then we can get on with fun stuff.

We have moved into an awesome basement suite overlooking the cedar hill golf course. It is a nice size and is quiet and open and we are really enjoying it.

We are bums and don't own a car. Yes, Chrissy who has owned a car since she was 15 and a half (I still miss little red), has traded in for a man-powered green machine. A bike! I know its hard to believe, but Trav and I are biking everywhere.

I am still working at Applocation and things are going really well. We have moved into a bigger office and we got to pick the color of our walls. So, I have a purple accented (deep smoke signal if I am talking to males) and winter wheat colored office.

Travis is trying to get started up doing some contract web work on his own. He has a lot of opportunities but nothing notable yet. Stay tuned.

The Monahan side of the family has a new addition! Bob and Lauren had a baby boy, Dennison Travis Monahan. The PR 'rents are doing well. They are planning a big trip to Africa in the fall so they are really looking forward to that.

The Simpson side of the family is also doing well. The kids are growing so fast. Logan our nephew is almost 3! Josh has signed with a German football team F.C. Kaiserslautern which I will probably never be able to pronounce properly so we'll call it FCK.

We just ordered Cable TV today to watch the Stanley Cup and World Cup and Edmonton is down 3-0 in the second period of game 2. Where are you roloson!!!!!

Ok, that's the cole's notes. Now down to important stuff.

World Cup Football. First game is Friday!!!! I am very sad because I will be travelling to Vancouver during the game and won't be able to watch/listen/know anything about it. I have decided that since Switzerland has been so nice to us in recent Hockey history (grrrrrrr), I am going to cheer for them. My strategy is that if Switzerland does better in Football, it will keep the youngin's away from the CANADIAN sport of Hockey. I am also cheering for Switzerland because it was my favourite Country we toured last year.

I have also decided, for no reason really, that I want to see England make pretty fools of themselves on the pitch. So, we'll see what happens. With my luck, the swiss team won't make it past the first round and England will win. Travis is still undecided on a team. Stay tuned cause I am going to force him to pick one before Friday.

We are! We have seen some horrific flicks lately. We were messing around on Rotten Tomatos a few days ago and we found something cool. You can sign up and review movies that you have seen lately. And, if you have a friend signed up, you can look at each other's reviews. We could all save each other from seeing horrible movies! So, if you are reading this, and you watch movies, sign up and add us to your friends list! You can not only use it for movies, but also music, video games, and other media types. You can even list your top 10 of each category. Fun, fun... Anyway, Trav and I have both setup journals and have linked to them from our about section.

This has definitely been the most difficult move for either of us. With our upcoming trip to Europe, we are moving the majority of our stuff to Powell River where Mom and Dad Monahan have generously let us store stuff. But with some going there and some going to other locations (lending out toys n' stuff ), it has just made for much more organizing than the regular "move it, then we'll figure out what we wanna do with it."

Over the next few days this site will be moving servers, so if there are any blips, please contact us.

Well, I have to get back to the grind, hopefully next time we post we aren't packing boxes and pulling desks apart!

When I woke up this morning I was happy that it was 8:30 and I wasn't at work but upset when I remembered it was World of Warcraft patch day. That meant that I couldn't play right away and staring at a "connection timeout" error trying to access worldofwarcraft.com got old real fast. So, since I had so much time on my hands, I read the official WWDC keynote that I missed yesterday because of all the action (grrr...) then I decided it would be good to ressurect good ol' codegoat. I did a bit of work on it this morning until the servers were back online. And, then played for a bit. Just now, I finished the Headlines section and posted it on the server. We will add more sections in the coming days. For now, I am all about the first iteration.

This morning we were both laid off from the same company. Not many married couples share lay off notices. Anyway, Travis has been with the company for four years now and I have been with them for three years. Eight months ago, we told them that we were leaving for a longer term adventure in Europe. Our last day of work was scheduled to be the end of June. But here we are, a month early... Jobless in Victoria. Although they have very understandable reasons for letting us go early, we have learned that nice guys never win.

This is the company where we met and fell in love, spent countless hours at our computers and scheming a better world in boardrooms, and now it is also the site of our first escort off property. Yes that's right. You spend years completely devoted to a company and they turn around and treat you like they never knew you. We were brought into the boardroom, told of our demise and asked to silently pack our things and leave. No balloons, no streamers.... no celebration... What can I say? Except for... It is time to move on.

So our adventure begins a little earlier than expected.
