Today we had our first trip on the tubes and we weren't afraid! However, I have to admit I thought there would be more of a security presence. While going through one of the major tube stations Josh pointed out an area and said that last week there were about 15 police with dogs and today there was one security guard. I was just quite surprised as I expected it to still be swarming with security. We went down to the major shopping area called Oxford Circus. Even on a Wednesday afternoon the place was seriously hopping. Apparently, it is the busiest shopping street in the world. We also went down New Bond Street which has a ton of designer shops or shall I call them wallet stealers. We definately didn't buy anything. Tonight we are continuing our viewing of 24 season four. It is sooo good. The last couple of nights Trav and I have been up past 2am watching.

This afternoon we had some errands to run so we headed out with Josh in his car. Yesterday we were trying out the trains and today the roadways and having reviewed each closely... I have to say the trains feel a lot safer than the roads even with the recent train bombs. The roads here are scary. No such thing as my lane your lane, or even my side of the road and your side of the road. There are no yellow lines, chaotic intersections, weird cryptic signs and psycho drivers (Josh included). I am sure we will just get used to the hyper style of driving but I was definately white knuckled for my first journey.

The mall that we went to looked seriously like some weird biodome errected by aliens to study earthlings. it was seriously weird. There we visited the Apple Store and had some rubber feet on the laptop replaced and played with the new Mighty Mouse which isn't really so mighty. I definately think they have a few kinks to work out of that product line. I LOVED the scroll ball instead of the scroll wheel, but the squeeze functionality was just a little weird and I can't find a useful function for it. It needs to have bluetooth and buttons that I can set as forward and back and I will be satisfied. At least it is a step in the right direction for the apple mouse.

Then we went to IKEA. It was a little taste of home. We could have been in Richmond! Everything was exactly the same. Anyway, we bought some pillows and other stuff for the house and returned home to cook dinner.
