If you browse past the last or first image on a page using the image browser you will be automatically forwarded to the next or previous page of photos.

You can now comment without logging into google.
Thanks for the feedback Josh and Kate! If there is anything that is weird or broken, let us know!

I have taken some time during Elias' naps and a few evenings in the last couple weeks to rewrite our photo gallery. The new gallery reads our photos directly from Picasa Web Albums and displays them on our site.

We had a tragic accident with our gps. We let the battery and the backup battery die. And, the stupid device runs on flash memory so we lost everything including our gps points that we usually enter into the whereabouts section. Most everything was synchronized but we did lose a bunch of information. Being depressed about our loss, we had not updated the section in a long time. Today, I went crazy, found a free geocoder online and updated everything. ahh.. feels good. it is updated just in time to add a whole bunch of more points. Tomorrow we leave for a 5 day road trip up to Scotland and back. We are renting some crazy, european two person car. Should be interesting.

Well, our first rainy weather has hit! It is ucky outside. This morning we took the opportunity to fix some things on the site that have been driving us nutz. If you are using Internet Explorer, the whereabouts page will now not crash your browser (hehe). We also fixed some of the spacing and tried to make things a little more readable. If there is anything you don't like or you think makes things less readable, let us know. Now to the outside!

Our FANTASTIC system admin had a little boo boo, and a file went missing.

So the whereabouts section is not working right now. We will fix it tomorrow.

We have just added a new section to the site. In whereabouts, you can now see where we have been, where we are and where we will be going. Location points are plotted on an interactive map (maps courtesy of Google Maps). You can view roadmaps, satellite or even a hybrid of the two maps. Take a look at the London Eye, then check out the satellite imagery. Pretty fantastic if you ask me. Anyway, you may also notice that there are no European road maps outside of the UK (argh). However, we have faith that google will have them soon. Either way, for now, you can still look at the satellite feed.

Anyway, check it out and let us know what you think.

Tomorrow we are embarking for our six week tour. The first stop is Paris and only after a 9 hour bus ride! Fun, fun, fun. We have to be up by 5am tomorrow to catch our train so, bed time for me.

Today was a pretty relaxed day. Sat around for a large part of the day and now, not only are we into the new season of 24 but we have started the new season of The OC. Sad... But I love it! Later.

Well, it has been a bit longer than expected, but Iteration 2 has arrived. Nothing too exciting, just added the photos section.

We have had an extremely busy week. Both of us had extensive dental work done and we headed up to Powell River to visit with my 'rents. When we were in PR, we had some extensive mucking around to do with the 'rents new toy, the Garmin iQue M5 GPS/PDA. It was a lot of fun and worked surprisingly well considering it runs on a Microsoft OS. Only one fatal error all weekend! Anyway, we found our first Geocache. We are planning on buying a GPS so we can Geocache our way through Europe.

Yesterday Trav left for some fishing with the boys. They are up in Port Renfrew for five whole days. I am hoping I might get to the next iteration before they return.

Cheers!
