Millwall at Crystal Palace
The Millwall vs Crystal Palace game was on Saturday afternoon. It was a pretty charged game because the two are such rivals. A lot of police and security presence. And oh man, were the Millwall fans loud. Millwall led the game 1-0 until the 92 minute (2 minutes into injury time) when Palace scored the equalizer. It was horrible because the millwall fans were already celebrating and as soon as Palace scored all the fans felt like we had totally lost, not tied. It was a bit of a let down. Millwall played a decent game. Hopefully they can keep it up. We weren't able to get many pictures because the millwall fans stood the whole game. It was hard enough to see the pitch, never mind take pictures of it! I got a few with a really crazy pink touque in front of the shot. Note that pink and Millwall are not an ordinary thing.
The pictures are in the Millwall Gallery waaaay at the bottom of the album list. Click here to go there.

And 500 Miles Later...
Millwall lost. Yesterday we travelled over 500 miles to watch Millwall play. They had a quick goal in the first couple of minutes and were up 1-0 at halftime. Unfortunately, one of the players was sent off after a fight in the tunnel during halftime and it was pretty much downhill from there. Three red cards for Millwall in total, one red card for Burnley. It was definitely an action-packed game. But the result was Millwall 1, Burnley 2. We left Josh's around 1pm and were home at about 2:30 am. It was a long long long drive! We drove with a couple of Millwall fans that have been devote fans since they were kids. It was a lot of fun, I just hope that Millwall can pull out a win next time we have to travel to the other end of England.
We haven't been updating the site much because... Well... We have been doing next to nothing. Really the last two weeks we have spent recovering from travel. We have renewed our World of Warcraft accounts and have been playing. We both went through some serious withdrawl on our trip. We are starting to come out of recovery zone and looking forward to the next few months we have in London. We are looking at a 3 day tour of Wales and still thinking about trying to get south for a bit. Flights within Europe are so ridiculously cheap right now that we can't NOT take advantage of them.
That's it for now. If anyone has any ideas on some places we should hit up, let us know!

Millwall at Reading - Vicious.
Well, we went to our first away game yesterday. After an amazing start for Millwall (total domination of the play), Reading popped a goal in against the flow of play... Hard to swallow, but we were confident that Millwall wouldn't let this take the wind out of them.
What came to follow, nobody would have guessed... After some defensive mistakes, Millwall's keeper, Andy Marshall, came out of his 18 yard box to kick the ball away from a advancing Reading striker, only to have the ball go straight to a Reading midfielder... Scrambling to get back inside his 18 yard box, Andy was forced to dive after the midfielders shot... Unfortunately, he was not inside his 18 yard when he made contact with the ball. For all of those who don't know football well, a keeper cannot touch the ball with his hands outside his 18 yard box, or... If he does, he receives a red card. The red card was given.
Now, this would usually involve a substitution, replace an offensive player with the backup keeper. Wrong. Millwall is currently lacking a backup keeper. After drawing straws (not literally), center back Mark Phillips was selected to replace Andy in goal. Mark, not being a keeper, struggled (as any non-keeper would...) and at the half, 4-0 was the pain.
Coming out after the half-time break, there was a new keeper... substitute Adrian Serioux. Josh was sub'd off and Mark Phillips put back out at center back. Adrian looked very comfortable in net and made some awesome saves. He ended up with Man of the Match!
5-0 was a painful end, but only conceding one goal in the second half... Any Millwall fan would have taken it!

Footy!!!!
We went to our first Millwall game at the Den tonight. We rocked the trains on the way there. It seems like it would be so easy to get on the wrong train but we haven't done that yet... knock on wood. The game was awesome. It was seriously intense because the fans are all maniacs. It was so loud and a lot of fun even though we didn't win. The game tied 0-0. Can't wait for Saturday's game! I can't imagine how that place will erupt when the home side scores a goal.
