Chrissy and Travis Simpson are a married couple who share an affection, what some might call an addiction, to the computer industry. We met while working together at a local web development shoppe as Web Application Developers. And were married in May 2004 in Victoria. In 2005, we both left our jobs to persue the finer things in life. Like sleeping in ;) All kidding aside, we had some plans for our stint of unemployment. In August of 2005 we shipped off to Europe for an adventure. We had a lot of fun and definitely caught a bit of the traveling bug. But against all our learned traveller's wisdom, we returned and settled down. We purchased a house in September of 2007. In 2009, Chrissy gave birth to Elias, our son. Travis is currently working for a local technology company that does mining of ecommerce statistics for some popular sites. Chrissy is currently on maternity leave but has been working for a local software development company that focuses on cellular, satellite, and gps locating technologies and custom applications.

Travis
Travis, the founder of codegoat, took his legacy from the main character in Old Yeller (pictured to the left) who he was named after. Travis grew up in Vancouver but moved to Victoria before finishing high school. Travis had a natural affinity for computers in high school and played a ton of video games. The most notable and loved was Descent. Lan partys were a big part of life and he co-founded a local gaming group with some friends (see LANage). After high school he attended a technical institution where he completed a 10 month web design and development program. Travis is the second of eight siblings.

Chrissy
Chrissy was not named after the ditz on three's company (pictured to the left) but sometimes she can really relate to her. Chrissy has a half-brother and half-sister but they were out of the house before she was born. So, she has grown up, pretty much, an only child. A little older than Travis with not as many siblings to hang with, she grew up on 80's TV brain candy and thouroughly enjoys reruns of shows like three's company. Chrissy was raised in Powell River, BC and her maiden name was Chrissy Monahan. Powell River is a small town located north of Vancouver. Right after Chrissy graduated from high school she moved to Victoria for University. She attended the University of Victoria and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Business Studies.
